The low quote for the exterior signage was City Hall Signage <br />provided by Designer Sign Systems Inc., and signs will be Report 89-171 <br />manufactured by the Diskey Sign Company. Four signs will be <br />installed, with three of the signs illuminated. <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Larson, to SELECT HARTFORD GREEN FOR <br />THE EXTERIOR CITY HALL SIGNAGE AND TO APPROVE THE SIGN PLAN AND THE <br />LOW QUOTE FROM DESIGNER SIGN SYSTEM INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,746 <br />FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF THE SIGNS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner, presented a special permission request <br />to construct a garage addi ti on 15 feet from the street si deyard <br />property line. <br /> <br />The applicant is Mr. Besim Ayaz, and his property is located at Mr. Ayaz Request for <br />176o--7th Street NW. 15 foot sideyard <br />setback <br />The house and single attached garage is currently set back Report 89-172 <br />approximately 30 feet from the Oakwood Drive right-of-way. Mr. Ayaz <br />wishes to expand the existing single car garage into a two car <br />garage. The proposed garage addition would be set back 15 feet from <br />the Oakwood Drive right-of-way. <br /> <br />There are several homes in the area immediately surrounding the site <br />with 15 foot side street yard setbacks. One of these homes is <br />located directly across Oakwood drive from the subject site. <br /> <br />The site has an established vegetative hedge along the street side <br />property line and would serve to screen the proposed addition from <br />neighboring homes and Oakwood Drive. The addition would not pose <br />a safety problem on Oakwood Drive. <br /> <br />Brandt asked if the nei ghbori ng property owners, Mr. and Mrs. <br />Thorson, have been informed of this request. <br /> <br />Mattila said all adjacent property owners have been contacted and <br />were invited to attend tonight's council meeting or contact staff <br />of any concerns. Mattila noted no property owners in attendance at <br />tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Benke, to GRANT SPECIAL PERMISSION <br />TO CONSTRUCT A GARAGE ADDITION 15 FEET FROM THE OAKWOOD DRIVE RIGHT- <br />OF-WAY ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1760--7TH STREET NW. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br />
