Report 89-76 <br />Resolution 89-42 <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Orduno has requested Counci 1 Bus i l1ess Agenda Item #9, Unso 1 i ci ted <br />Mail, Water Rates for Seniors and Disabled, and the Annual Town Hall <br />Meeting be removed from the agenda. Presenter, Pam Schmitz, is <br />unable to make the presentation because of the snowstorm, but will <br />return on March 28, 1989, to present to Council. <br /> <br />Orduno said the Twelfth Annual Town Hall meeting will be held on <br />Saturday, April 8, 1989, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Gunderman, to MOVE THE PRESENTATION <br />OF UNSOLICITED MAIL, WATER RATES FOR SENIORS AND DISABLED, AND <br />ANNUAL TOWN HALL MEETING TO THE MARCH 28, 1989, COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Citizen Study Report on <br />Unsolicited Mail <br />Report 89-77 <br /> <br />John Kelley, Police Chief, informed the Council that Officer Werneke Officer Werneke <br />has been taken to the hospital because of injuries associated with <br />investigating an accident. His injuries are unknown at this time. <br /> <br />Kelley explained that Super America, Inc., has normally made an <br />annua 1 donati on to Pol ice Departments around the Metro-area to <br />provide for protective apparel. This yeari donation is $350.00. <br /> <br />Kelley's intention for use of this donation is to purchase a <br />waistcoat or windbreaker-style soft body armor unit for general use <br />by non-uniformed personnel who may respond to an incident which call <br />for increased protection. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Brandt to ACCEPT AND EXPRESS <br />APPRECIATION TO SUPER AMERICA, INC. FOR THEIR DONATION TO THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT'S SOFT BODY ARMOR FUND; AND WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE BUDGET CHANGE TO PROVIDE FOR DONATION. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Super America, Inc. <br />Report 89-54 <br />Resolution 89-29 <br />
