Presently, only corrugated cardboard will be picked up. Presentation <br />Report 89-44 <br /> <br />Larson asked that Kuentz di stri bute to the Counci 1 a copy of the <br />administrative costs per city report. <br /> <br />Gunderman expressed his concerned of keep i ng compet it i ve b i dd i ng <br />open. <br /> <br />Gunderman asked if this assessed fee would be tax deductible. <br />LeFevere said that since the charge is 1 isted on the property <br />statement as a special assessment it would not be tax deductible. <br /> <br />Jerry Bensing, Chairman of the EQC, asked how the City will address <br />the subject of yard waste. Benke said the County is proposing to <br />manage large sites and the cities who have space would manage the <br />smaller sites. <br /> <br />Bensing suggested that the Arden Hills site be considered a transfer <br />station. The County or City could move the yard waste from Arden <br />Hills to a larger location. Benke said this option could be <br />considered. <br /> <br />Gunderman said the subcommittee did an excellent job researching and <br />presenting this issue. <br /> <br />Benke thanked the subcommi ttee for thei r work and offered the <br />Council's assistance in this program. <br /> <br />Benke noted that Council Business Agenda Item #2, Consideration of <br />Resolution Designating Institutions as Depositories of City Funds <br />for Investment Purposes and the Naming of Primary Depository has <br />been requested to be removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />Due to time conflicts, Wayne Burlingame of First State Bank of New <br />Bri ghton has not been abl e to meet with Margaret Egan, Fi nance <br />Director. <br /> <br />Brandt stated that paragraph one of the resolution and line four <br />from paragraph two would be removed.
