<br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Council Meetin Minutes <br />November 22, 1 88 <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Counci 1 <br /> <br /> <br />k continued <br /> <br />Brandt expres ed her dissatisfaction that the Human Rights <br />Commission was not involved in reviewing process and suggested that <br />it was likely that the Human Rights Commission would have met if <br />they'd had thi as an agenda item. <br /> <br />Sinda explaine after Gary Berger left, the plan was returned with <br />notice from the state to reformat the plan into their <br />specifications In the meantime, staff had been working with other <br />metropol itan c'ties in the exchange of information regarding the <br />format and oth r guidelines. <br /> <br />Orduno acknowl dged that many other cities have not submitted their <br />plans. <br /> <br />Benke asked wh t penalty is involved if the deadline is not met. <br />Orduno said th penalty is unclear, but basically the city could <br />lose some dis retionary funds. The state has granted several <br />extensions, bu the December 1, 1988 deadline appears to be the last <br />one. <br /> <br />Benke said under ideal conditions, the Human Rights Commission would <br />have been ab 1 e to revi ew the plan before it is submi tted to the <br />state.
