Possible locations include several <br />churches, Skyw od Inn, or the Legion. <br /> <br /> <br />Brandt feels the Community Recognition Dinner should be held at a <br />New Brighton 1 cation. <br /> <br />Schmitz confi r ed that the Town Hall Meeti ng wi 11 be hel d at the <br />Ci ty Hall, an the commi ttee wi 11 make every effort to hold the <br />Community Reco nition Dinner within the city. <br /> <br />Gunderman feel the Committee did an excellent job in discussing the <br />alternatives. <br /> <br />Motion by Gund rman, seconded by Williams to SET MONDAY, FEBRUARY <br />6, 1989 FOR TH COMMUNITY RECOGNITION DINNER AND SATURDAY, APRIL 8, <br />1989 FOR THE T WN HALL MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nay s, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />A New Brighton resident has contacted Benke with a request that the <br />City provide enior citizens with a reduced water and sewer rate <br />program. <br /> <br />Benke felt this item does warrant discussion, but feels this <br />function has een typically a State or County function. Benke <br />suggested the Citizen Study Commi ttee shoul d be instructed to <br />consider the p licy implications; and the Finance Policy Board to <br />consider the f nancial implications. <br /> <br /> <br />\~i 11 i ams asked <br />cities.Ordun <br />whi ch vari ed i <br />has found a hi <br />reduction prog <br /> <br />if this is a fairly wide-spread practice among other <br />briefly reviewed policies from several other cities, <br />requirements and the amount of reduction. Orduno <br />h percentage of cities do have some form of a rate <br />am and all cities do include the disabled citizen. <br /> <br />Benke acknowle ged there is a wide range of individuals who would <br />possibly be el gible for this type of program. <br /> <br />Gunderman ask d, what the certification process is for annual <br />income.
