Locke said if the testing procedure was found Rendering Plant Update <br />invalid, then a second test would have to be done; but if the test <br />was found val'd, it would move them on to the permitting process. <br /> <br />Benke acknowl edged that the Board, cons i st i ng of representatives <br />from Arden Hi ls and New Brighton, would work with Mr. McGinley to <br />monitor the M CA process. Muriel, a representative from Mengelkoch <br />was present a the Council Meeting. <br /> <br />There wassom discussion between the councilmembers regarding their <br />availability to attend the Teambuilding Workshop scheduled in <br />January, 1989 The Workshop will be conducted by Lyle Sumek, Sumek <br />and Associate , Inc. <br /> <br />Williams fel Mr. Sumek's workshop last year, was too lengthy and <br />suggested th workshop could be streamlined. Benke explained Mr. <br />Sumek's method was to get acquainted with the group, since this was <br />the first time he had dealt with us. Benke suggested to schedule <br />a work session before the next council meeting to discuss the <br />proposed dat s and other objecti ves. Wi 11 i ams asked if the Ci ty <br />Staff have egun reviewing their objectives and goals. Sinda <br />acknowledged that the staff is presently reviewing their goals. <br />Gunderman sug ested the staff should also have input in the goal and <br />objective process. <br /> <br />Sinda sugges ed reserving the dates of January 14 and 15, 1989 with <br />Mr. Sumek, s bject to next council meeting concurrence. <br /> <br />Regarding th Request for Proposals for Feasibility Study for the <br />New Brighton Community Center; Benke explained that earlier this <br />evening the Council attended a work session on this subject. After <br />discussions, the Council directed staff to revise and bring in an <br />alternative lan and continue consideration of this issue to the <br />October 25, 988, Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Announcement <br /> <br /> <br />Benke has r ceived a request from the Ramsey County Regional <br />Railroad Aut ority for New Brighton to designate a representative <br />to serve on n Inter-Governmental Committee to assist in the Light <br />Ra il Study; and also designate a staff member to serve on the <br />technical co mittee.
