The applicant must comply with all Zoning Code <br />requirements including review and approval of a <br />landscape and plot plan. <br /> <br />Planninq Commission Consideration (10-15-74): <br /> <br />The Chairman read the background discussion. <br /> <br />The applicant was represented by Don Malley, Chief <br />Engineer of KTIS; Louis Munn, Chief Engineer of the network; <br />Paul Ramseyer, Manager of KTIS; and Ed Nyborg, realtor with <br />Niemiec and Burrow, Inc. representing the seller. <br /> <br />Daniels asked why the applicant could not make use of the <br />existing towers in Shoreview. <br /> <br />It was stated by one of the applicant's representatives <br />that this would not be feasible because those towers are <br />overloaded and could not accommodate a planned expansion. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman Anderson, 2792 Forrestdale Road, asked if <br />the property would support the required ground system and if there <br />were any radiation hazard. <br /> <br />The applicant's representatives replied that the property <br />would support the required ground system and that there was no <br />radiation hazard on the ground. <br /> <br />Harty asked if the applicant had looked for a site farther <br /> <br />out. <br /> <br />It was replied that a site farther out is not feasible <br />because it would not cover enough area of the Twin Cities and <br />that there was no other close in site of sufficient size. <br /> <br />In reply to a question by Mayor Bromander, Mr. Nyborg <br />stated that the site was approximately 20 acres in size and that <br />the north part would probably be sold off. <br /> <br />In answer to other questions by the Mayor, the applicant <br />stated that the station had 1,000 watts daytime power, though an <br />increase to 5,000 watts is being considered.
