Since this issu~was <br />continued from the last Council meeting, the Council feels this <br />issue should be resolved at this meeting. <br /> <br />les Proper, City Engineer, and <br />Inc., met with the Brighton Square <br />went over a list of concerns <br />answered their questions. <br /> <br />Robert Morast, OSM Associates, <br />Residents on August 29th, and <br />submitted by the residents and <br /> <br />Gunderman suggested Proper review the final recommendations with <br />the audience. The following recommendations were: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Ramsey County repaint all white pedestrian crosswalk <br />markings. This has been completed. <br />Ramsey County will paint "STOP BARS" at all four approaches <br />to the intersection. <br />Ramsey County will repaint in Spring '89, the yellow skip <br />stripe on Palmer Drive approach. to intersection from the <br />West. <br />Ramsey County will paint in Spring 189, a double yellow <br />centerline to the first set of driveway entrances East of <br />Silver Lake Road and a yellow skip centerline from the <br />driveway entrances to the median island. <br />Ramsey County will paint white skip stripe lines East of <br />Silver Lake Road only to the first set of driveway entrances. <br />It is also recommended that a "NO PARKING ZONE" be <br />established and signed on both sides of Palmer Drive from <br />Silver Lake Road easterly to the first driveway. This is in <br />response to observations of trucks parking in this area and <br />limiting visibility. The City does not recommend painting <br />the solid white lines west of Silver Lake Road. <br />The City does not recommend painting the curb corners to 75 <br />feet of Northbound and Southbound Silver Lake Road, and also <br />does not recommend painting "NO PARKING ZONE" curbs yellow. <br />The City does not recommend painting yellow curb corners at <br />entrance/exits from Sinclair, Brandywine, Amoco, Brighton <br />Square and McDonalds. <br />Ramsey County will replace "NO U TURN" sign on Silver Lake <br />Road opposite Brighton Square entrance. <br />The City does not recommend installing "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" <br />signs on Palmer Drive. <br />The City does not recommend replacing curb cuts on Silver <br />lake Road between Palmer Drive and 14th Street. <br />The City does not recommend removing the "NO RIGHT TURN" <br />signs from the North exits of the Brighton Square Shopping <br />Center. <br />The City recommends removjng the shopping center entrance <br />sign facing Westbound Palmer Drive. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Pa lmer Drive Traffic <br />Study <br />Report 88-263 <br />Resolution 88-96 <br />
