<br />( <br /> <br />-6-:- <br /> <br />Mr. Neslund stated that there were already many strings attached <br />to the approval and stated that if more are attached, it may make <br />the operation infeasible because kids will sense the discrimnation. <br /> <br />Mrs. Mann suggested that there be an' investigation of other fun <br />centers to see how they are run, the age of the patrons, and <br />whether there is a problem connected with the operations. <br /> <br />Mr. Neslund stated that other communities are also concerned <br />about the effects of a business of this type and noted that as <br />many of these businesses are emerging in other places, it suggests <br />, ' <br />that there may not be as many problems with them as is thought. <br /> <br />Motion by Anderson, seconded by Fredrickson, to defer action on <br />SP-66 until the next meeting and request a member of the Planning <br />Commission, a representative of the residents and a representative <br />of the applicant to visit similar busin~sses in other cities and <br />to investigate with the police departments in those cities if <br />there have been problems with the businesses, what requirements have <br />been put on the operation and what the hours of business are. <br /> <br />Mr. MacPhail volunteered to represent the residents. <br /> <br />Mr. Neslund stated that he would participate as the applicant. <br /> <br />Anderson was appointed to represent the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Neslund noted his only concern is that the property may be <br />sold an0 that he is concerned about the delay that is going to <br />result. <br /> <br />_ _._ t __"op-' _~., . ... <br />
