Motion carried.

City Engineer, Les Proper noted representatives from Brighton Square
were in attendance, and had indicated they have had some problems
with their garage units on the south side of the park; this has been
noted and the City will lower the grades, thereby eliminating the
problem. In response to concern by Mayor Benke, Park Director Maurie
Anderson, advised that even though this field is not completed by
1989 summer season, with the addition of the Veterans Park field,
the number of playable fields will remain the same. The City Engineer
noted the bid prices would no doubt increase if too tight a schedule
was required.

Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR FREEDOM PARK GRADING, DRAINAGE AND PARKING LOT
CONSTRUCTION, AND AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
