<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 10, 1988 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF JUST COMPENSATION FOR PRO- <br />PERTIES IN THE GOLDEN POND PROJECT AREA AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF PURCHASE AGREEMENTS SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 3.2 AND <br />3.5 OF THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEW <br />BRIGHTON AND GOLDEN POND LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Kelley briefly reviewed staff report concerning an ordinance to <br />amend the City Code, Section 29-1, to include city-owned parking <br />lots and parking lots at city facilities. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to HOLD AND WAIVE THE <br />FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 29-1. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Benke indicated he asked that the financing for the Palmer Drive <br />Study (Project 48824) be removed from the consent agenda to re- <br />quest that the financing be from the Closed Bond Fund. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Gunderman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCING FOR THE PALMER DRIVE <br />STUDY, PROJECT 48824, FROM THE CLOSED BOND FUND. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />The Ramsey Council League of Local Governments's next meeting will <br />be on Wednesday, May 18th; as the topic will be lIsurveys,1I Judy <br />Goepel, Events Coordinator, will be asked to attend; Larson will <br />attend as Alternate Delegate in Williams's absence. <br /> <br />Brandt indicated the Ramsey County Charter Commission discussed <br />establishing a subcommittee whose task will be to draft an example <br />of a charter so the Commission can have an opportunity to discuss <br />it; it was decided they needed a subcommittee because the Commis- <br />sion is busy studying the consolidation of governments. <br /> <br />Brandt reported the North Suburban Cable Commi ss ion offi ci ally <br />registered objections to Channels 34 and 35 programming and re- <br />quested the cable company to remove those programs. <br /> <br />With regard to the status of the Garden Grove Apartment's peti- <br />tion, Berger reported the Citizen Study Committee walked the site <br />with Alice Teague, resident manager.
