Copies of the Ramsey County Highway Departments requirements for approach <br />grades to County roads and site protection at driveways were picked up by <br />the Architect. <br /> <br />It was noted that, although public opinion is that Silver Lake Road is very <br />heavily traveled, the traffic is well below the roads designed capacity. <br />In 1975 Silver Lake Road carried an average of 18,075 cars per day. Using <br />an arbitrary estimate of 4 trucks per hour or 32 trucks per day, this would <br />be equivalent to approximately 65 cars. From a traffic engineering stand- <br />point an increa~ of 65 cars per day would not be noticeable. <br /> <br />Subsequent calculations indicate that traffic volume could be slightly <br />higher, but would be only slightly noticeable. <br /> <br />cc: JUO <br />Winkels <br />Kirkwold <br />
