<br />e <br /> <br />page 2. <br /> <br />Commissioner Doyle stated that the sign plan should include <br />provisions for size, location and spacing of signs. <br /> <br />Commissioner Medved stated that he would like to see a sketch <br />plan showing the maximum signing that would be at the shopping <br />center. Commissioner Medved also indicated he agrees that the <br />applicant should contract with a sign consultant to develop the <br />sign plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Ernst stated that he agreed with all of the comments that <br />have been made regarding the sign plan and that he had recently <br />hired a sign consultant to develop a sign plan and that the <br />consultant was working on the problem. Mr. Ernst also indicated <br />that he felt it would be his position that the major tenants should <br />have 2 wall signs. <br /> <br />I. That the area of special control for signing should include <br />-Erickson's Super Value as there is an unsegregated parking <br />area, as Super Value is an integral part of the Rice Creek <br />Center, and as Super Value is included in the advertising <br />for the area. <br /> <br /> <br />e <br /> <br /> <br />Motion by Doyle, seconded by Medved, to transmit SP-78 to the City <br />Council without recommendation and also to transmit the following <br />comments: <br /> <br />ovision for wall signs should include specifications <br />sizing, spacing and location on the mansard roof. Further, <br />wall signs should be uniform and compatible in terms of <br />size and style. <br /> <br />3. That individual tenants should be limited to one wall sign <br />per tenant except that provisions for additional signing for <br />major tenants should be considered. <br /> <br />It is further suggested that any Signing for the vacant service <br />station be compatible with the shopping canter. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wickland stated that he felt the sign plan should <br />contain provisions for 2 wall signs for Hardware Hank and Snyder <br />Bros. <br /> <br />Motion by Doyle, seconded by Medved, to amend the main motion by <br />~ adding the following comments: <br /> <br />1. That the sign plan should include provisions for a ground <br />sign identifying the center. <br />
