<br />.. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO <br />STATE OF MINNEOSTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-100 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit entitled <br />SP-IOO has been made by RCE Corporation to establish a sign plan <br />for the Rice Creek Center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the procedural history of th~ applica~ibniS as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. That an application for special use permit; SP-IOO was <br />filed with the City of New Brighton on October 6, 1981. <br />2. That the Planning Commission, pursuant to published <br />and mailed notices, held a public hearing on October 20, <br />November 17, 1981~ December 15,1981 and January 19, <br />1982, all person's present at the hearing were given an <br />opportunity to be heard. ' <br />3. That such application was reviewed by the City Council <br />on January 26, 1982. <br />4. The wY'ittencomments and analysis of the city staff, <br />the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations <br />were considered. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the New Brighton City <br />Council makes the follo\'Jing Findings of Fact in respect to SP-10 . <br /> <br />1. That the property is zoned B-3, -General Business and <br />developed as a shopping center; <br />2. That the City in regard to signage has designated this <br />site as an area of special control (Section 9-180 <br />Zoning Code); . . <br />3. That the City by special permit may establish special <br />sign regulations that are more or less restrictive than <br />the regulations in the table of Basic Design Elements; <br />4. That the proposed sign plan is comprehensive in nature <br />and addresses the needs of the intensive commercial <br />activities on this site; <br />5. That the proposed sign plan is consistent and <br />compatible with the basic intention of the sign <br />ordinance in that it reduces clutter, provides sound <br />identification and is aesthetically pleasing. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the application SP-100 is <br />hereby approved subject to the conformance with the regulations <br />and exhibits within the sign plan as signed and dated by the <br />applicant and City Planner. ~ <br /> <br />I Adopted this <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I' <br />II ATTEST: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />. <br />, 1982. <br /> <br />Gregory B.
