VN-172 <br />-2- <br />The parking lot would also have a third driveway which will <br />require Council permission. <br />The applicant has indicated that they have had conjestion created <br />by the overcrowding of the parking lot and also, that many trucks <br />have been forced to park on the street. The applicant has stated <br />the expanded parking area would be both safer and more convenient. <br />A comment regarding the proposed parking area is that all <br />spaces are shown to be 10' x 20' in size and that such a space <br />would not accommodate the trucks presently parking on the road. <br />If the intent is for trucks to park in this area, it may be <br />desirable to design the parking lot with larger spaces. <br />Regarding the third driveway, we would note that this proposed <br />entrance would place all three driveways to the property within <br />a spacing of 110 feet. While the entrances are not on Old Hwy. 8, <br />there could potentially be traffic conflicts. <br />Enclosed is a copy of the proposed parking lot configuration. <br />Plannin Commission Consideration & Recommendation (5/17/77): <br />Please See Attached <br />
