SP-61 -3- July ?2, 1975 <br />Bohling stated that he has trouble with the lack of landscaping <br />on this side of the property. <br />Partyka stated that 'he doesn'"t believe the variance request <br />meets the ordinance conditions for granting a variance. <br />Mr. 8ettenberg and Mr. Dahlke .stated. heir opinion that the <br />type of landsc~.ping provided in the area is more important than <br />the width of the landscaping strip. <br />Councilman Rebeleinrequested the applicant to document the fact <br />that the 60' green strpwould be a hardship if it had. to-be <br />prpvided< He-.further asked whether a 50', 40' or 30' green strip <br />would also `be a hardship as opposed to the 25-' requested. <br />Mr. Dahlke stated that the particular figure- chosen is the <br />result of a need to be able to park two rows of trailers running - <br />east - wes on the site with an adequate maneuvering area between <br />`them. He stated that this will not allow a 60' landscape strip <br />to be provided. Hr further stated, however, .that he would be <br />willing to provide the maximum feasible depth. to the buffer strip..:::. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation 6'_17-75: <br />-'----- , <br />Motion by Parham, seconded by:Bohling, to recommend approval <br />- of SP-61 subject to the site being adequately screened from the <br />residential area to the north and to provide an attractive entrance <br />into the City. <br />Motion carried, 2-1 (Partyka) <br />Partyka stated that he does riot agree with this .use in this. <br />specific location. <br />Chairman Parham asked that the record show that the reasons <br />for the majority recommendation were that similar uses are allowed <br />in I-1 districts and that this use is compatible with the I--1 zoning. <br />
