` Extract of Minutes <br />" VN-196, Carlson <br />Page #3 <br />Discussion on the motion included a concern brought up by <br />Williams over the present design of the garage and he. felt that <br />the doors of the garage. should be on a different side. <br />Brown. moved, Williams seconded that.the resolution should be <br />amended to add on item 4 requiring "the applicant to change the <br />entrance of the garage from the south to the north and create <br />a new driveway to the garage; and the resolution be further <br />amended to add item 5-that the elevation of the top of the <br />house not exceed the top of the house to the south; and that. <br />the resalution be further amended to add on item 6 that the <br />house not be constructed so that it extends further lakeward <br />than he house to the south. <br />Lang commented that amendments, items 4 and 5 were. appropriate but <br />that he felt that item 6 was too restrictive. <br />Williams commented that these amendments placing additional: <br />requirements on the applicant, are warranted in-order to assure <br />the City that-the house to be built on the new subdivision will <br />fit into the general character of the neighborhood. <br />Vote on the amendments resulted in 4 ayes and 1 nay. Amendments <br />carried. <br />The vote on the resolution to approve the variance with the <br />amendments resulted in 3 ayes and 2 nayes. Motion did not carry. <br />Brown moved, Medved seconded that VN-196, Carlson be forwarded <br />to the City Council for public hearing without a recommendation <br />from the Board of Review. .Motion carried. <br />f <br />
