~- <br />Board of Review. <br />Regular Meeting <br />June 19, 1979 <br />Page #3 <br />Commissioner Livingston requested that .staff indicate the general <br />area that. is proposed for park and asked if this is a preliminary <br />plan and if the Board would have a chance to .review the final plan. <br />Staff noted that this is the preliminary plan and the final plan <br />will be reviewed by the Board of Review. <br />Commissioner Livingston stated that he liked the .single ownership <br />__ of the duplex unit5_and the potential for combining the units for a <br />__ ~----~ ~ townhousef4=pl ex concept. This -wvul-d---resul t i n--~a- better mi-xture --~-- -- --- <br />of houses, more energy efficient units and more open space in <br />appearance. <br />Staff informed the Board that this concept would not increase or <br />decrease the number of units, it would result in combining the <br />proposed uni ts. <br />Chairman Schmidt read a number of suggested conditions to be placed <br />on the Boards recommendation for PRD #27. <br />Chairman Schmidt commented that he liked the idea of common control. <br />over maintenance in the form of a Home Owners Association. She <br />stated that she would rather see a PRD with conditions on that <br />property because of the controls it allows, rather than a develop- <br />ment not under a PRD. <br />Williams R. Sherman, 2163 29th Avenue N.W. wondered where parking <br />would be provided for park users. He didn't want Rice Creek Road <br />to be used for parking. <br />Staff indi-dated that an agreement could be worked out so that some <br />~ parking could take place at the Rice Creek Shopping Center. In <br />addition, he Park Baord.would address this concern. A neighborhood <br />park normally services the area residents and a large amount of <br />parking is usually not needed. <br />
