Provide for one-unit per lot which would <br />allow-the possibility of individual ownership of each unit." <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, amendment carried. <br />Vote on the main motion as amended: <br />___ _ 5 Ayes - __O Nay es ,= motion. carried. __ <br />Motion by Schmidt, second by Williams to forward the minutes of the <br />meeting and preliminary plan to the Park Board for review and comment. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, motion carried. <br />LP-90, HI-GHWAY EQUIPMENT REFINISHING . <br />Chairman Schmidt introduced the proposal and commented that con- <br />ideration of ..the building permit application is contingent on <br />Council approval of a minor subdivision .which consists of a <br />land transfer between the applicant and Bell lumber and Pole <br />Company. <br />The applicant, Oave Strafelda was present to answer any questions. <br />Ne commented that he has been operating his business in the City <br />of New Brighton for 15 years on the other side of the pole yard <br />on the corner of 5th Avenue N.W. and 1st Street N.W. <br />CommiSSioner Livingston asked the applicant if the minor subdivision. <br />to be presented to Council was a trade off of property between the <br />two. parties. <br />The applicant responded-that he needed the additional l0 feet so <br />that the lot would have the necessary width to accomodate the width <br />of-the building and be within the required side yard setbacks. <br />Chairman Schmidt inquired about the proposed usage of the eastern <br />area of the site. <br />The applicant noted that the area would :not be heavily used. The <br />space would provide temporary parking of trucks to be serviced or <br />trucks that clients will be picking up after service. The <br />parking of the trucks in~.that area would not be long-term.. <br />Commissioner Livingston voiced concern about the space available <br />for manuvering trucks in and out of the service building. He was <br />concerned that there might not be adequate space in the front of <br />the site. . <br />
