July 1, 1981 Park Board Minutes Page 9 Dahl stated that's what she would like to do at a large-group meeting and have .the small groups work on input to the master plan. Gunderman asked if this would be before or after the joint powers agreement. Dahl felt the joint powers agreement was more a Park Board .issue. She is more concerned with the master plan. We have to have con.- tac t people for setting up the meetings.. Jim Borgstrom,l983 15th Ave. NW, said he belongs to two organiza- tions. One is Windward Terrace and also the Long Lake Improvement. The current Long Lake association has not been active in the past - the committee represents the total lakeshore owners. Gunderman asked him to share with people what his committee did in the past. Borgstrom stated he attended lots of meetings and worked in small groups. There were a few people that represented the lake shore owners. The group gave input to the Park .Board, hopefully repre- senting the majority of the people. It is important to work with people and get a concensus. Gunderman asked Anderson if he had any objection to doing it that way. Anderson said as he stated before that Ad-Hoc was a good way to proceed. His concern is that we have balanced perspective of the entire City. Gunderman suggested having 3 or 4 people represented for each area; Long Lake residents, not on the Lake residents and. Park Board members. Commers stated that she and Marv Cook would. represent the Long Lake residents. Carlson thought. it would be a good idea to have people who were previously on a committee in the group also so they can continue to work on something they have had input in and also to add per- spective. Gunderman mentioned that Sue Brustman may be a good person for the committee, she is very interested in Long Lake. A resident suggested that revisions be documented by date to keep track of what was done previously and refer to a document that. has been changed or revised, Schuessler asked if there wasn`t a document available for. the park plan which they could have rather than a one page map, Commers asked who will decide who will represent the rest of the City.
