February 3, 1981 Park Board Minutes Page 2 Solberg. asked what would happen if the Bankers' sold their property. Anderson said the City could renegotiate with the new owners. Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Dahl, to approve the rental of the Golf Course property,;-as defined in the ~3ankers' letter, wa~th apprpyal of legal terms, Motion passed. V. New Business A. Election of Officers Motion by Solberg, seconded by .Olson, that Gunderman be elected Chairperson of the New Brighton Park Board. D4otion passed. Van Hatten noted that Gunderman was a candidate for the Superindendent of Schools position and wondered if this may possibly change his commitment to the Park Board. Dahl felt that was a decision Gunderman would have to make. Dahl was elected Vice-Chairperson. B. Comprehensive Plan Review Anderson. commented that he would like to go through the rough draft of the Comprehensive Flan page by page and note any comments, corrections, or additions. He noted that after the Park Board has made their changes and/or corrections it would go to the City_Planner, back to the Park Board and then to the City Council for the March meeting. The following are comments, changes, corrections or additions made by the Park Board regarding the Comprehensive Plan. Table of Contents will be redone. .Dahl asked if there-would be any demographic info. Anderson stated no, not at this time.- Van Hatten asked, if school maps were available for insertion. Anderson said considerable money was spent preparing park maps;, just can't see doing that for the schools. Dahl stated she felt that the school facilities were necessary in the plan but not the school layout. Anderson said the description of New Brighton, along with the map, were not final as yet.. with City Manager and Council approval, the entire document would be typeset.
