Andexsv~',~~~~ctor dark and Recreation <br />He: 1980 Capital Improvement Finds <br />The 1980 CIP includes two projects that substantially differ from <br />normal projects that are bid and ultimately contracted out. One <br />"project" is $15,OQ0 that Was c~esi.gnated for m~.scellaneous capital <br />improvements during the ye~z'. The second project was $5,000 to <br />begin the clean up, process ~t Long Lake,.. The intent of this memo <br />is to recommend methods for utilising'these funds and to request <br />Council approval. Most, if not a11, of the work will be done in- <br />house or in small contracts. under $].,Q00, The Council, of course, <br />has the option of adding or deleti}~c~ projects at its discretion. <br />A summary of my recommendations for expenditures is as follows: <br />Totem Pole <br />. Finish grade, black dirt and sod area immediately south and east <br />of tennis court. <br />Dozer 'rental $300.00 <br />Black dirt 500.00 <br />Sod 400.00 <br />$1,2QO.Q0 <br />Hidden Oaks East <br />Establish turf in area that was legit unfinished in 1979 contract. <br />Black dirt ~ 800.00 <br />Sod 500.00 <br />$1,300.QQ <br />Driftwood Park <br />Move free skating light pole. The pole was placed before it was de- <br />cided not to install a hockey rink in the park. Its current location <br />interferes with play in the outfield. <br />Hansen Park $ 254,QQ <br />The outfield of diamond #3 retains water as a result o:E regrading <br />done in 1979. It was known ~t the tote that this would occur but <br />
