Current and projected recreational needs based on <br />locally relevant standards. <br />1. Development of relevant standards <br />2. Current and projected land. requirements <br />3. Current and projected facility requirements <br />III. Neighborhood Communications <br />A. Saunders-Thalden & Associates, Inc., will assist the <br />Parks Department in conducting a community meeting for <br />residents. This will be for the presentation of general <br />city=wide information and also include. ''break down" <br />sessions with neighbors from each park area discussing <br />their concern for their park. Saunders-Thalden & <br />.Associates, Inc. will provide group leaders to assist in <br />these discussions. <br />B. The purpose of these meetings is to reasonably relate <br />the facilities in .the parks to the priorities of the <br />neighborhood, The result of doing this could mean: <br />1. Not spending. dollars foolishly. <br />2. Greater use of the parks.. <br />3. Less conflicts. <br />4. Fewer complaints., <br />5. Less. vandalism and greater responsibility for the <br />care of the parks on the part of the adjacent <br />neighbors. <br />
