An access <br />bridge to Long Lake Park will be required where fiississippi Street <br />~• terminated at Rice Creek's entrance to Long Lake. <br />Option B - ~=1i nnesota Transfer Rai 1 road Right-o ~-6~Jay Bet~:~een <br />b•Jest County Line and Long Lake Park <br />a. the existing railroad right-of-way provides a man-made corridor <br />(i00 feet wide) relatively unimpeded (except for road crossings <br />and minor grade variations) between the west county line and <br />Long Lake Park. The right-of-gray is located approximately 600 <br />feet north of the Rice Creek ftoodway and-Anoka County trail <br />segment - an undeveloped road right-of-±vay (Stinson Blvd.) <br />connects the subject railroad right-of-way and creek corridor <br />at the vest county line. <br />b. a trestle type bridge would be required where the railroad <br />right-of-way crosses the Spring Creek channel. <br />c. the railroad right-of-rvay abuts the rear yards of adjacent <br />residences (the cleared corridor has tittle, if any, scenic <br />value) . <br />d. the proximity of a public trailway to the railroad tracks could <br />be a potential safety hazard or attractive nuisance for trail <br />users. <br />e. a trestle type bridgo would be required where the railroad right- <br />. - of-w,ay crosses Rice Creek immediately north of Long Lake. <br />
