' Park Board Minutes -5- December 5, 1979 <br />Dahl warts single family homes removed and move parking <br />lot to the west (northwest of .the tennis counts.) <br />Gunderman doesn9t like parking lot/play area in the <br />same spot. <br />Staff commented that the cost for a sidewalk would be <br />approximately $10,000. <br />Gunderman asked who pays for the road.- <br />Dahl felt there was no need for a parking lot. <br />Cadwallader stated it is conceivable to. put a parking <br />lot between Silver Lane and the tennis courts. There <br />is approximately a 100 foot area between the two. <br />Park and Recreation Director asked the City Planner what <br />the setback is from the street. <br />Joan replied that the setback is 15 feet from the blvd. <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Grimshaw, that the parking <br />lot should be located in the area south of tennis courts <br />offSilver Lane and should be for approximately 11 cars. <br />Motion passed. <br />City Planner asked if the Park Board would object to the <br />existing parking lot on the southeast corner of the <br />property. <br />Gunderman responded that it depends on what happens to <br />the three single family homes now in the proposal. <br />Dahl stated that parking lot is fine as it exists now <br />(southeast corner). <br />2. Access to the park, especially from the east <br />G~estling stated there must be. an acc"ess from the east <br />and south sides of the park. <br />3. Consider whether access should be on the north or south <br />side of proposed single family homes and approximate <br />size of access <br />Dahl stated if there must be single family homes she <br />prefers the proposal with three homes with access to <br />the north. <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Olson, that there be no <br />single family homes on Oakwood as part of the plan. <br />~~otion passed. <br />
