' Park Board Minutes -5- December 5, 1979 Dahl warts single family homes removed and move parking lot to the west (northwest of .the tennis counts.) Gunderman doesn9t like parking lot/play area in the same spot. Staff commented that the cost for a sidewalk would be approximately $10,000. Gunderman asked who pays for the road.- Dahl felt there was no need for a parking lot. Cadwallader stated it is conceivable to. put a parking lot between Silver Lane and the tennis courts. There is approximately a 100 foot area between the two. Park and Recreation Director asked the City Planner what the setback is from the street. Joan replied that the setback is 15 feet from the blvd. Motion by Dahl, seconded by Grimshaw, that the parking lot should be located in the area south of tennis courts offSilver Lane and should be for approximately 11 cars. Motion passed. City Planner asked if the Park Board would object to the existing parking lot on the southeast corner of the property. Gunderman responded that it depends on what happens to the three single family homes now in the proposal. Dahl stated that parking lot is fine as it exists now (southeast corner). 2. Access to the park, especially from the east G~estling stated there must be. an acc"ess from the east and south sides of the park. 3. Consider whether access should be on the north or south side of proposed single family homes and approximate size of access Dahl stated if there must be single family homes she prefers the proposal with three homes with access to the north. Motion by Dahl, seconded by Olson, that there be no single family homes on Oakwood as part of the plan. ~~otion passed.
