A no wake zone is established over the entire lake <br />on all legal holidays commencing. at 10:00 p.m. on <br />the evening preceding the observed holiday and <br />terminating at 7:0.0 a.m. on the-day following the <br />observed holiday; except that period of time be- <br />tween 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the observed <br />holiday.. <br />{These two .provisions would take .effect upon opening <br />of the public boat-launch and are intended to pro- <br />videtimes fqr smaller, slower boats and fishermen <br />_ to use the lake. This provision. has generated a <br />great deal of comment, however the Park Board <br />feels that it is necessary to insure use rights for <br />a variety of interests..) <br />Sec. 19-32. Prohibited Wake. <br />No person shall operate a motor-powered watercraft in <br />the no wake zone in such a manner as will create a wake. <br />Sec. 19-33. Boat Launching. <br />No .person shall launch or beach a watercraft other <br />-than at designated areas or on private property with <br />the owner's permission. <br />(This provision is designed primarily to prohibit indis- <br />criminate boat launching from the park area.) <br />-Sec. 19-34. <br />No person shall operate a non-motorized watercraft, <br />except a sailboat, in the wake zone of the lake when <br />motor-powered watercraft producing a wake occupy the <br />same half as divided by the channel of the lake. <br />(This provision is designed to provide nearly unrestricted <br />use for power boats during certain times of the day.) _ <br />Sec. 19-35. Direction of Travel _ _ <br />No person shall_operate a watercraft producing a wake_ <br />in a clockwise direction; .the only. permissible direction <br />shall be to operate the boat in a counter-clockwise <br />direction. _ <br />(This provision is consistent with recommendations that <br />DNR is establishing for statewide application.) <br /> <br />
