Yes sir
Dale Reed, 148L 18th St. N.W• I don't mean to reiterate all the comments
that have been made I think that the speakers thus far have presented
most of the people here's views very well. T would like to say however
that Ifeel that the Council should take a. stand on this matter. I realize
that this is not the end of the game land reference has been made to budget
meetings, further paxk board meetingsetc but really as a practical matter
it's impossible for the public to keept tral~k of all of these various
meetings and attend them all and to make theri voice heard. It's only at
a meeting like this that has become weel publicized that the people come and
the people can make their views known to theGouncil, the people that make
the decisions. and i don't think that its right to just schluff off and
sa.y well we're just approving this as a general polan and we're gonna
sen it back now for a lot of further hearings, slot of further meetings
and that type of thing. I think to some extent the speakers have been a
little hard on Mr. Anderson who I think has a lot of good ideas too that
,mhn~~e~k's incorporated into this in terms of elea.ning this area up and and
be--~p~e~~yawe}~e area and I think the opposition of the people seems to
is true that fromlthe few people that lwere able t attendthonesor two zt
of the Park Board Meetings in connection with development of this concept,
that even though they were the only ones there they weren~t listeded to
a.t all and were more or less just steam rolled over as being just an
insignificant minority, but I think the show up of people here tonight
