Glisan also distributed copies
of information from the "Gambling News" publication and reviewed
same.

Glisan stated the Lion's Club has a good working relationship
with the bar and wishes to continue, but indicated the Lion's
would be unable to operate with the increased rent and still stay
within the new guidelines of 40% maximum for expenses.

Benke stated the 1987 Operating Budget took into consideration
the revenues from the Lion's rent, but then stated the city might
consider having the Lion's donate some items to offset the
city's expense portion of the budget which would also help the
Lion's offset their expenses.

Glisan stated the Lion's could run their operation if their lease
was for $450 for the remainder of 1986 and then $300 per month in
1987 and then invited staff and council to attend the Lion's next
meeting at Robert Lee's on Wednesday, October 1, 1986, at 6:30
p.m. to make a presentation to the Lion's.

Benke suggested leaving the lease at $450 per month and ask
staff to identify some projects the Lion's might be willing to
consider making contributions for; Glisan stated they would help
on city projects.

Page Eleven

Lease: Lion's
Club for Pull-
Tabs at Powerhouse
Report 86-200
