April 7, 1982 Park Board Minutes <br />Page 2 <br />Amendment by Olson, seconded by Dahl, that some foam of address <br />be added to the names of the parks.. Motion passed. <br />VII. Announcements <br />A. MRPA Park Section Workshop 4/1.7/82, Van Cleve Park <br />Gunderman asked if anyone was intersted, The fee is about $20. <br />B. Ramsey County Public Works Committee 4/19/82 <br />C. Ramsey County Board 4/26/82 <br />Anderson said meeting will be about 8:00 a,m,(Monday) in the <br />Ramsey County Court-House in the Council Chambers. It could <br />last about 2 hours. Anderson said anyone intersted should give <br />him a call Thursday or Friday fora better idea of the agenda. <br />Grimshaw asked to be brought up to date on what"s happening. <br />Anderson said the dates of the Ramsey County meetings are not <br />absolute. For background, Steve Schmidt, Tony Crea and Anderson <br />met. There was concern on the termination date of the Joint <br />Powers Agreement, Went over changes the Council had on the- <br />Joint.Powers Agreement. The County Board and staff are reasonably <br />comfortable with rewording of #7 - the termination date. Steve <br />Schmidt, Bernie Edmonds, Roger Blomquist and Anderson met this <br />morning. The terminology for the termination date was changed <br />somewhat but is basically the same as it was before but it has <br />"'1984" in there. Steve Schmidt and Roger Blomquist .have looked <br />at it and say it is ok. Bob Orth, County Commissioner may have <br />objections to the plan. <br />Gunderman asked what his objections were'.' <br />Anderson said. money. <br />Anderson said if it goes 50-50, the burden is not bad on either <br />party. If City is the implementing agency, there is a possibility <br />we could lose the $750,000.. <br />Dahl asked what role the Public Works Committee plays. <br />Anderson said a big one. Typically goes if they recommend approval. <br />D. Environmental Quality Board Staff Hearing 4/28/82 <br />Gunderman asked the status of the Environmental Impact Study. <br />Anderson said there are two kinds of hearings to find out if <br />EIS is necessary. .One is an informational hearing. Each side <br />makes its recommendation, then onto the Environmental Quality <br />Board. The Board then decides if the EIS is necessary. The <br />
