February 3, 1982 Park Board Minutes <br />Page 3 <br />Jacobs said if Metro Council has to put the .money in, let <br />them borrow it to the city. Perhaps it has not been discussed <br />becauser~o one has asked for it. <br />Gunderman asked the Park Board what their reactions were. <br />Dahl said the decision would have to be made on ownership. <br />What are advantages of City/Regional Park a <br />Johnson said he thought it, was a positive factor to have <br />total control. - <br />Dahl stated she would like a better feel for the leasing option. <br />Can we get .the money that way? <br />Grimshaw stated he .was under the impression all along that we <br />couldn't lease. <br />Johnson said it looks better to take one million and develop <br />or invest. <br />Van Hatten said the whole document is based on $650,00.0. The <br />figures are too arbi racy. <br />Dahl said there are various options in this document. <br />Carlson wondered if we weren't putting ourselves out of our <br />element.. Seems we should be more specific. <br />Dahl commented that perhaps there would be no change to the <br />master plan. <br />Motion passed. <br />
