The recommended section gives Council more say and limits the time the Council. has to keep the lake closed.. PROVIDED that he lake cannot be closed for more than one (1) week without the approval of the Council. Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Carlson, to accept changes as proposed. Motion passed. C. Discussion-Timing for Decision on Long Lake Master Plan Anderson suggested three dates for the Long Lake discussion meeting.. February 24, March 1 or 2. The master plan expects to be out February 15 .:. ,Will get it out tothosewho need it the day it is received. Meeting date set for Tuesday, March 2, 7x30 p.m, at Pike Lake Media Center... Anderson said the Park Board and Council: will meet on Mareh 3. There will be a three way presentation. Ken Simons will--make a presentation, Anderson wll.review how the City got where it is and Jim Fornell will talk about financial aspects. Would like to cover the issue as carefully as possible „ Will probably have a representative from Metro Council present. The meeting will be informational to bring people up to date. The meeting is being published in the City Hall Newsletter. Anderson told the Park Board to encourage people to attend this meeting, come to listen so they can make up their own mind. The Council will consider the .master plan at the second meeting in March. The Park Board will have to have a special meeting to make. its-recommendation. Special meeting was set for Monday, March l5 at High~ew Middle School Cafeteria, 7:30 p~m.
