Carlson clarified it by saying a fee would be <br />charged for special services but no fee for entry into the park. <br />Johnson said the entry fee serves a good purpose. The people <br />who do pay do use it. <br />Van Hatten said he didn't think an entry fee is so bad.. <br />Dahl said they had talked about a .special. sticker to be used <br />for all regional parks. <br />It was suggested that the words "if used" be inserted after the <br />words "entry fees:.." <br />RECOMMENDED RESPONSE: <br />Support .the collection of fees for special services, but entry <br />fees, if used, should be system wide or not allowed. <br />ISSUE 7 <br />Policy 23 <br />No comments. <br />RECOMMENDED RESPONSE: <br />Strongly support. <br />ISSUE 8 <br />Questions= 1, 2 , 3 <br />Anderson said the response given. to the 3 questions is mostly <br />in answer to question 3. There will be a need for redevelopment <br />in a few years and then the. Council can say this is your park. <br />Tt's a very generic statement-but all we can do. <br />RECOMMENDED .RESPONSE; <br />The Council must seek a solution to this problem which ixavolves <br />all applicable levels of government. <br />ISSUE g <br />Anderson said the Met_Council set up a committee four or five <br />---- - - - <br />years ago__with,four or five impl_ementina agencies, a_professor <br />__from the U~and Jim. Senden and worl~ed on service levels, It was <br />a very difficult task-and the recommendations have not been <br />,implemented. <br />
