The law suit was actually filed
one year ago.
Van Hatten asked if the City-would have any big expenditures
in .the law suit.
Anderson said hopefully not. The City will meet with Ramsey
County and Metro Council legal staff in advance of the trial
to determine who is responsible for legal costs.
V. New Business.
A. Seniors
Anderson said $3,000 additional money has been added_to the
1984 Senior Program.. Kelly will no longer handle summer
playgrounds. A playground supervisor will be hired.; This
frees up Kelly's time to .work more with seniors. She will
share some ideas and would like your ideas.
Kelly asked the Board what they know about the seniors program.
Only a few responded they: knew something about the seniors program.
Kelly said one of the seniors had mentioned it may be nice to
invite the City Council to a senior function.
Blomquist thought that was a good idea.
Kelly stated the club is limited to 160. Generally will take
New Brighton residents over non-residents if there .is a waiting
list for the club. .Would like to start more activity groups.
There. are probably Seniors that would participate in some
kind of activity but not necessarily want to belong to the
club, this would get more seniors involved,
