RESOLUTION NO ~; STATE OF MINNE50TA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SP-127 (City Hall Expansion) WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit has been made by the City of New Brighton; and WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application. is as fO110W5: 1. That an application for a special use permit was filed with the City on August 2, 1985. 2. That the Planning Commission, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held a public hearing on August 20, 1985, all person's present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 3. That the application for a special use permit, SP-1'27, was reviewed by the City Council on August 27, 1985 and that the comments and analysis of Staff and the Planning Commission minutes and recommendation were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the following Findings of Fact. are made in respect to SP-127: 1. That the site is zoned B-~, Downtown Business. 2. That the regulations of the downtown business district specify that there shall be no expansion of buildings without a special use permit. 3. That the expansion of City Hall is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, the special use standards and the general B-3 zoning regulations. 4. That the expansion of City Hall is essential to maintian efficient services to New Brighton residents. 5. That the expansion of Gity Hall will enhance downtown redevelopment efforts. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the application is and hereby recommended for approval subject to the following conditions: 1. Subject to review and comment by the Park Board on the landscape plan. 2. That the site plan far City Hall ar.d the park improvements show areas where additional parking can be constructed. 3. Conformance with the site and building plans as approved.
