RESOLUTION NO <br />~; <br />STATE OF MINNE50TA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SP-127 (City <br />Hall Expansion) <br />WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit has been <br />made by the City of New Brighton; and <br />WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application. is as <br />fO110W5: <br />1. That an application for a special use permit was filed <br />with the City on August 2, 1985. <br />2. That the Planning Commission, pursuant to published and <br />mailed notices, held a public hearing on August 20, 1985, <br />all person's present at the hearing were given an <br />opportunity to be heard. <br />3. That the application for a special use permit, SP-1'27, <br />was reviewed by the City Council on August 27, 1985 and <br />that the comments and analysis of Staff and the Planning <br />Commission minutes and recommendation were considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the <br />following Findings of Fact. are made in respect to SP-127: <br />1. That the site is zoned B-~, Downtown Business. <br />2. That the regulations of the downtown business district <br />specify that there shall be no expansion of buildings <br />without a special use permit. <br />3. That the expansion of City Hall is consistent with the <br />Comprehensive Plan, the special use standards and the <br />general B-3 zoning regulations. <br />4. That the expansion of City Hall is essential to maintian <br />efficient services to New Brighton residents. <br />5. That the expansion of Gity Hall will enhance downtown <br />redevelopment efforts. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the application is and hereby <br />recommended for approval subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Subject to review and comment by the Park Board on the <br />landscape plan. <br />2. That the site plan far City Hall ar.d the park improvements <br />show areas where additional parking can be constructed. <br />3.
