r3
~..i
southern shore area which is currently being used as a swimming beach.
The user parking accomodations for that area for shore fishermen. canoeing,
car-.top fishing boats and high speed boating should be designed for. no
mare than twenty vehicles. Of that total, na more than three (81 spaces should
be allowed for high-speed boats. This request strongly considers the previously
identified surface use pressure currently existing on the lake, and attempts
to rnidimirye additioinal use presaure. An option to f~-ir use would consider
restriction d~ additional high speed baste an weekends but would permit
up to five (5) speed boats during the week. In any case. the number of
additional boats allowed on the lake should be monitored by a representative
of the Parks and Recreation Departmeit.
We wish to express our appreciation to Mr. Ken Simon for his effort
directed at designing a park that will create harmony among nature, the
park users and the adjoining community.
Yours truly,
.,
Patricia Commers
President
Long Lake Improvement Association
cc:
Mr. Ken Simon
1618 1 / 2 White Bear Ave
St Paul., MN 55106
Mr. Chuck Dayton
Attorney at Law
Suite 930
Ten South Fifth St.
Mpls MIV 55402
