Midness - The tot lat is back far enough - it .should be safe.. Resident(St. John's) - The tot lot could be .put in the low area. Midness - Don't want it in a busy area. Resident- You'd have to use the amphi-theatre events on the nights the softball field wasn't used. Nelson - could program the amphi-theatre on weekends and-day time,. softball field is used every night. Midness - Amphi-theatre can be anything - there will not be seating. Resident(St. John's) - Why the plan with no ball field if it is used so heavily. Williams - The Council asked for the plan because they thought there might be too much activity in the park and it seemed cramped. Resident(St. John's) - Why have the open lawn area, a soccer field could be in there. (On #5) Johnson - Would you rather have the soccer field instead of the ball field Residents - NO!!! Midness - In plan #5 there is a multi-purpose area (open grass area) Johnson - If you want the bail field, we don't have. to discuss plan #5 any more. Resident - The walking paths are ok. Upgrade the park but don't change what's there. Put a permanet.structure, leave the ballfield. Williams - Your reason for wanting the ball field is to watch games? Resident - Yes, like to watch the games. Midness - There will be bleachers. Van Hatten - Talked to Les Proper about vacating/closing the street. The resident was correct. Vacating means each property owner. gets 2. If it is closed the City uses it all. Tn practical terms it will not make any difference.- St. Johns' will still be able to maintain cars in and out of the parking lot. One advantage of closing it would be that the City would be. responsible for the .upgrading. Resident - Entrance and exits may move to the center of the parking lot.
