CommunitU Koom <br />Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center <br />The Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center Community Room and <br />Gazebo are operated by the City of Brooklyn Park and may be <br />scheduled for use on a rental basis by community residents, <br />educational and civic groups originating in the city, private <br />industry or commercial use located within the city and by non- <br />residents'groups. The room and gazebo are provided for the leisure <br />time pursuits of all users. Certain policies are needed to insure <br />the proper use and control of the facility so that all people may <br />equally enjoy them. <br />PRIORITY OF USE: <br />1. City sponsored events, Parks and Recreation Department. <br />2. Community civic groups and organizations and resident <br />groups. <br />3. Private industry or commercial use located within the city. <br />4. Non-profit organizations originating outside of the city <br />and fraternal organizations. <br />5. Non-resident groups. <br />PERMITS• <br />A permit authorizing the use of the multi-purpose room will be <br />issued to the applicant after the application is approved. The <br />Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Department reserves the right to <br />cancel the permit immediately if the regulations of use are <br />violated. Permit holders shall not assign, transfer, or sublet to <br />others the use of the facilities. <br />SUPERVISION AND DAMAGE: <br />1. Every group using the facility must be under competent adult <br />leadership. The organization of user group shall assume full <br />responsibility for the group conduct and for any damage to the <br />building or equipment. <br />2. Any activity not sponsored by the Parks and Recreation <br />Department that involves alcohol shall be required to hire a <br />security officer or a Brooklyn Park Officer in uniform through <br />the staff at the Community Activity Center. <br />3. The city reserves the right to assign supervisory staff or <br />maintenance personnel at an additional cost to the user, if <br />deemed necessary by the particular function or activity. Cost <br />will be calculated at the time of reservation. <br />CANCELLATION OF PERMIT: <br />The Parks and Recreation Department may cancel any permit up to <br />forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event...in the case of a <br />natural disaster, etc. <br />
