October 6, 1993 Park Board Minutes <br />6 <br />Anderson said wood 'is hard to maintain. It needs to be replaced every <br />few years. <br />Resident Thell asked if there would be lights in the park. <br />Anderson said one light if any. Tennis court would not be tit. <br />A resident asked. if there would be landscaping around the pond. <br />Would the pond have a fountain like City Hall. <br />Anderson said yes there could be fountain in the pond. <br />A resident asked if there would be one or two tennis courts. <br />Anderson said one. <br />Resident Johnson asked what the next phase would be. <br />Anderson said the Park Board will go over the items one by one. It <br />will then go to the Council in November. The Council wilt sign off on <br />it the 9th or 23rd of November.. Give us a call or we can send you the <br />final plan. <br />A resident said if you -cut into the berm, there may be-some impact on <br />it because it is steep. <br />Anderson said he would work with the Engineers. The height and <br />degree of the grade would be measured. Maybe the top could be <br />blacktopped and the rest gravel. <br />Eichers said Sandcastle Park in Roseville has an 8 foot bike path <br />through the park. It has worked well for the residents. <br />Kalina said she lives near Silver Oak. Her townhouse division. in <br />Windsor Green has all interior walkways. She said she loves it. <br />A resident said his main opposition is to the west end access. <br />Olson said you all have very legitimate concerns. We hear what your <br />concerns are but feel they will disappear when everything is in place. <br />The resident said back to my concern, if the path is accessible to <br />vehicles, will it be a bicycle path as welt as a walking path. <br />Anderson said there is about an 8 foot drop -that area may have to be <br />asphalt. <br />A resident said Hidden Oaks is a similar size park and there is only one <br />access. <br />
