<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 24. 1985 <br /> <br />Janecek inquired about the time it would take to have the ordinance <br />amended and whether or not it could be completed in time to help <br />the Cross's; Winkels indicated he would have the information to the <br />Planning Commission members prior to the meeting on October 15, at <br />which time they will decide how they want to handle the change (Task <br />Force or collectively by themselves). Winkels anticipated their <br />recommendation would come back to council the end of November at <br />the earliest. <br /> <br />Harcus understood the Metropolitan Council had people dealing with <br />accessory apartments and suggested Winkels contact them; Schmidt <br />felt there was a finance program for accessory apartments; Harcus <br />suggested having someone from Metropolitan Council attend the Planning <br />Commission's October 15th meetin~ to give a presentation. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Cross indicated time was not a crucial factor; looked forward to <br />having something done to assist him in his situation. <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed staff report concerning a request for a special <br />use permit to adopt a sign plan for a multiple tenant. office! <br />retail building, and stated John Buguckie, representing the <br />applicant Rodney Billman, was present to answer any questions. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SP-129. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Krueger distributed letter to council written by Mr. Raymond <br />Nathe who requested the council to permit the operation of a <br />Farmers' Market at St, John the Baptist Church site by an ordinance <br />change or through a permit fee. <br /> <br />Blomquist asked if another location for the Farmers' Market had <br />been explored; Nathe responded it had not. <br /> <br />Harcus stated he would like to review a pOSSible solution that <br />would prevent the City from opening an R-l to this type of an <br />operation and. in the meantime, permit it to occur at St. John's <br />this year. <br /> <br />Schmidt commented that this would be a commercial activity in a <br />residential area; not opposed to the Farmers' Market but opposed <br />to the location and felt another location would fit the business. <br /> <br />Janecek liked the idea of having a Farmers.
