<br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 23, 1985 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Schmidt stated that if the letter was confusing and indicated the <br />process was completed and the change was in progress, the city would <br />have to start over with a house-to-house survey and start the entire <br />process over. <br /> <br />Janecek, based on the work the Citizen Study Committee did, moved, <br />seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE THE READING, HOLD THE SECOND READING, <br />AND ADOPT AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAMES OF "A" STREETS AND TO ORDER <br />PUBLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 2 Nayes (Benke, Blomquist), Motion Carried <br /> <br />Page Nine <br /> <br />May asked what legal recourse the citizens had against the ordinance. <br /> <br />City Attorney stated the law requires street names be changed by <br />ordinance; an injunction could be filed, but he could think of no grounds. <br /> <br />Benke suggested the citizens contact those that voted for the motion <br />and attempt to change their minds. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Schmidt stated that, <br />their own survey and <br />tainty of approval; <br />s ituati on. <br /> <br />to change his mind, the residents could conduct <br />bring something to council that had some cer- <br />felt the city had done its best in a difficult <br /> <br />Helmbrecht asked what the legal ramifications were if addresses <br />were not changed; Harcus stated he did not know what they would be. <br /> <br />Benke stated the city would be sending letters to major businesses <br />in the area and to the Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek, to WAIVE THE RULES AND <br />MOVE ITEM VIII-5 (Review of City Hall Renovation/Addition project <br />by Lindberg Pierce, Inc., architects) TO THE END OF THE AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed the staff report concerning final plat approval <br />for a single family home development at 1252 Silver Lake Road and <br />adjoining vacant land. Krueger stated the applicant was present. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to APPROVE FINAL PLAT, <br />PL-142, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. CONFORMANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL, <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION 85-61; AND <br />2.
