CARLSON, JAMES D. FAUST, BEN H. FLORES, <br />PAUL FOURNIER, THOMAS K. McDONALD, BRADLEY J. t1ARTINSON, JOHN <br />R. RISALL, MICHAEL L. SCOTT, W. ROBERT STROBEL, AND EDWARD E. <br />WALHOF TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION. <br /> <br />Benke inquired about whether or not council wanted to <br />stagger the terms of office. <br /> <br />Winkels responded that there was nothing in the Star City <br />Program requiring staggered terms. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist, to amend the <br />motion to state FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS to provide contin- <br />uity to getting the group structured; at the end of two <br />years council can decide if staggered terms would be <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to amend the motion <br />to APPOINT JIM FAUST AS CHAIRMAN OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOP- <br />MENT ORGANIZATION as he was president of the Chamber of <br />Commerce and played a leadership role in getting this <br />going. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Amendment No.1 Carried <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Amendment No.2 Carried <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Main Motion Carried as amended <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br /> <br />. <br />Sinda had nothing to add to the staff report concerning the <br />use of Revenue Sharing funds. <br /> <br />No one was present to speak on this issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br /> <br />Revenue Sharing funds <br />7:49-7:50pm <br />
