<br />Council Minutes <br />March 27, 1984 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />more than willing to go along and let the project <br />ride for another year or two, provided there will be <br />some maintenance this year and suggested a two to <br />three inch overlay. <br /> <br />As Bochnak had previously agreed to pay for half of <br />the overlay, Proper indicated that an overlay probably <br />would not be cost-effective but agreed that more than <br />patching would be required. <br /> <br />Schmidt suggested the hearing be discontinued and <br />reopened at a later date, if necessary. <br /> <br />LeFevere stated that the hearing could be deferred <br />for up to six months so that anything coming up this <br />summer could still be applied to this hearing. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mark Wojcik, Gordon Rendering Co., 19 NE 14th Street, <br />stated that the property being discussed is used on~y <br />by Mengelkoch Company and that a 38' street with <br />concrete curbs would cost $50,000, a lot of money for <br />a driveway. He further stated that until the property <br />is sold and it is know what it will be used for, he <br />couldn't see anything being dones at this time except <br />repairing the street. <br /> <br />There being no further comments, Harcus moved to close <br />the publiC hearing. Seconded by Benke. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Proper indicated he had nothing to add to the staff <br />report concerning the Storm Water Management Plan, <br />and mentioned that a group was present from the League <br />of Women Voters. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Florence Myslajek read a statement (attached) from the <br />League to the Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist, to SET AN <br />INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC HEARING ON THE DRAFT STORM WATER <br />MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR 7:30 P.M., APRIL 24, 1984 and TO <br />REFER THE DEVELOPMENT OF A WETLAND ORDINANCE TO THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION WITH INPUT TO BE OBTAINED FROM <br />THE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY COMMISSION AND THE PARK <br />BOARD and TO DIRECT STAFF TO PREPARE INFORMATION <br />WHICH COULD BE INCLUDED IN THESTORM WATER MANAGEMENT <br />PLAN AND WETLAND ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Page Ten <br />
