As Bochnak had previously agreed to pay for half of the overlay, Proper indicated that an overlay probably would not be cost-effective but agreed that more than patching would be required. Schmidt suggested the hearing be discontinued and reopened at a later date, if necessary. LeFevere stated that the hearing could be deferred for up to six months so that anything coming up this summer could still be applied to this hearing. I Mark Wojcik, Gordon Rendering Co., 19 NE 14th Street, stated that the property being discussed is used on~y by Mengelkoch Company and that a 38' street with concrete curbs would cost $50,000, a lot of money for a driveway. He further stated that until the property is sold and it is know what it will be used for, he couldn't see anything being dones at this time except repairing the street. There being no further comments, Harcus moved to close the publiC hearing. Seconded by Benke. 5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes Council Business Proper indicated he had nothing to add to the staff report concerning the Storm Water Management Plan, and mentioned that a group was present from the League of Women Voters. 1 Florence Myslajek read a statement (attached) from the League to the Council. Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist, to SET AN INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC HEARING ON THE DRAFT STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR 7:30 P.M., APRIL 24, 1984 and TO REFER THE DEVELOPMENT OF A WETLAND ORDINANCE TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION WITH INPUT TO BE OBTAINED FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY COMMISSION AND THE PARK BOARD and TO DIRECT STAFF TO PREPARE INFORMATION WHICH COULD BE INCLUDED IN THESTORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN AND WETLAND ORDINANCE. 5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried Page Ten
