<br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />March 27, 1984 <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to AUTHORIZE <br />EXPENDITURES OF $800 FROM THE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT <br />FUND FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PLANS FOR A COMMUNITY ATHLETIC <br />FACILITY AT IRONDALE HIGH SCHOOL. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist, to amend <br />the motion by adding AND TO ASK STAFF TO COORDINATE <br />WITH THE SCHOOL BOARD TO SET A DATE TO START DIALOGUE <br />BETWEEN usro SHARE RESOURCES AND DISCUSS HOW WE MIGHT <br />DO THAT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion to amend carried <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion carried as amended. <br /> <br />Harcus asked Anderson about any studies having been <br />done on regional area softball needs within the city <br />versus neighboring communities. <br /> <br />Anderson indicated that a Needs Assessment may be <br />done by the Metropolitan Council. He further stated <br />that the City is now at capacity (six o'clock at <br />night until sundown, five nights a week) with resi- <br />dential teams, indicating a phenomenal growth within <br />the last three years in our and other neighboring <br />communiti es) . <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek, to WAIVE <br />THE READING, HOLD THE SECOND READING, ADOPT. AND <br />ORDER PUBLICATION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />4-600 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING CODE PERTAINING TO <br />DISH ANTENNAS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to WAIVE <br />THE READING, HOLD THE SECOND READING, ADOPT, AND ORDER <br />PUBLICATION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-060 OF <br />THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING CODE PERTAINING TO PARKING <br />REQUIREMENTS IN PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes.
