<br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />March 27, 1984 <br /> <br />Benke asked if the 30-foot parcel was abutting the <br />land that the well house is on. <br /> <br />Anderson stated that because the well is there and the <br />treatment site is there, doesn't remove the fact that <br />it is park land. <br /> <br />Janecek asked if there may be legal problems selling <br />pot en t i a 1 pa r k 1 and. <br /> <br />Benke stated that we cannot authorize the sale tonight <br />because there has been no value placed on the parcel <br />and did not see any delays in the process if this was <br />referred to the Park Board. Benke further stated that <br />perhaps we do not need all 30 feet, perhaps only ten <br />feet. <br /> <br />Gordon Hedlund, 1411 Seventh Street NW, stated he didn't <br />feel the condition on the proposed resolution ("that the <br />driveway be placed solely on the petitioner's property <br />at 1411 Seventh Street NW") be a part of the resolution. <br /> <br />Benke stated that, in the long range, if we were to <br />split at the 30-foot mark, we would be setting a prece- <br />dent for maintaining that. <br /> <br />There being no further comments, Harcus moved to close <br />the public hearing. Seconded by Blomquist. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE THE <br />READING AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT <br />AND APPROVING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF 14TH AVENUE <br />NW SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE DRIVE~ <br />WAY BE PLACED SOLELY ON THE PETITIONER'S PROPERTY AT <br />1411 SEVENTH STREET NW. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to amend the <br />motion to AND DIRECT STAFF TO BRING TO THE PARK BOARD <br />FOR RECOMMENDATION AND TO DETERMINE FEASIBILITY. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Amendment Carried <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried as Amended <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Proper stated that Mr. Wayne Leonard, Coordinating <br />Engineer from Ramsey County, is here and noted that <br />this project, 84-2, is being federally funded and <br />that a number of public hearings had already been <br />held.
