<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Mi nutes <br />June 12, 1984 <br /> <br />pocket-size calendars will be distributed; reviewed <br />media promotion; expressed concern for space next year <br />as each year the celebration is growing; and thanked <br />the City for their help. Introduced Tom Poston, Vice <br />President of Operations. Again thanked the City for <br />their donation for the float, which will be in several <br />other community parades advertising Stockyard Days. <br /> <br />Harcus commended Joyce and her staff on the many hours <br />they have put in to make this a successful celebration. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to APPROVE THE <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR STOCKYARD DAYS' 1984 CELEBRATION. <br /> <br />5 Ayes- 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Krueger indicated that Tom Boyce and Dick Putnam were <br />present to explain to Council the status of their pro- <br />ject and to ask Council to continue consideration of <br />the project. <br /> <br />Eller stated that they have been working on trying to <br />revise and reduce the number of units in the plan, and <br />to make sure the plan works for Centex. At this time, <br />they do not have all of the information available and <br />asked that this item be continued at the next Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Benke asked, assuming substantial changes were being <br />made, if we could save time by having Centex go to the <br />Planning Commission for review of changes being proposed, <br />before coming back to Council. <br /> <br />Blomquist asked if it would be pOSSible for Centex to <br />appear at the Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday, <br />June 19, 1984 and present the revised plan for their <br />comments. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Harcus, to CONTINUE <br />THE KENSINGTON/CENTEX HOMES CORPORATION PROJECT AT THE <br />NEXT COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, JUNE 26, 1984. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed staff report indicating that the <br />balance of the vacant land would be developed by <br />James Senden. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek, to DIRECT THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION TO SCHEDULE A PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br />JULY 17, 1984, AT 7:35 P.M.
