<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Mi nutes <br />June 12, 1984 <br /> <br />Krueger had nothing to add to the report, and stated <br />that both Jack Welch, Property Owner, and David Darrell, <br />Architect, were available to answer any questions. <br /> <br />Benke stated that he hoped and assumed that the proposal <br />would be for a nice facility. <br /> <br />Darrell indicated there would be berms, landscaping, and <br />good circulation of traffic. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Harcus, to PERMIT A CAR <br />WASH AS A COMPATIBLE USE IN A B-3, GENERAL BUSINESS <br />DISTRICT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Sinda had nothing to add to the report concerning the <br />financial consultant proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Harcus stated tha~ based on the past performance of <br />Mr. Casserly and Mr. Graves, their work is acceptable. <br /> <br />Winkels clarified that any work done on an industrial <br />revenue bond project is not paid for unless the <br />project is approved. Tax increment financing work is <br />by the hour. <br /> <br />Schmidt expressed concern that the work be monitored, <br />and asked that Winkels pull the agreement for Council's <br />review. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek, to WAIVE THE <br />READING AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING MILLER & <br />SCHROEDER MUNICIPALS. INC. AS FINANCIAL CONSULTANT FOR <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT #1. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Proper had nothing further to add to the staff report <br />concerning the bids received for Project 84-1, Pike <br />Lake Area Street Rehabilitation. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to ~JAIVE THE <br />READING AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 84-1 TO H&S ASPHALT COMPANY IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $324,135.00. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Harcus commented on the few power failures we have in <br />this area.
