<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />August 28, 1984 <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed staff report concerning a request for site <br />plan approval to construct a new industrial building, stating <br />that Mr. Engle was present to show an alternative plan in the <br />event the 70-foot right-of-way is not procured. ' <br /> <br />Randy Engle, architect for Nielson presented original and <br />alternate plans to council. Mr. Nielson distributed photos of <br />previous buildings constructed by Engle's firm. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus. seconded by Blomquist, to RECOMMEND APPROVAL <br />OF LP-166 SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS; <br /> <br />1. THAT THE APPLICANT SECURES OWNERSHIP OF THE 70 FEET OF <br />COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAY AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED SITE PLAN. <br />2. THAT IF THE APPLICANT IS NOT ABLE TO OBTAIN THE ADDITIONAL <br />70 FEET OF LAND AREA ALONG OLD HIGHWAY 8 A REVISED SITE <br />PLAN BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY PLANNER IN SUBSTANTIAL COM- <br />PLIANCE WITH THE ORIGINAL APPROVED SITE PLAN: IE. LAND- <br />SCAPING, BUILDING ELEVATIONS. REQUIRED PARKING. AND FLOOR- <br />AREA RATIO. <br />3. THAT FINAL GRADING AND DRAINAGE PLANS BE APPROVED BY RICE <br />CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT AND THE CITY ENGINEER. <br />4. THAT ANY NEW CURB CUTS BE APPROVED BY RAMSEY COUNTY. <br />5. THAT IF THE PONDING AREA ALONG OLD HIGHWAY 8 IS NOT RE- <br />QUIRED BY RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT A REVISED LAND- <br />SCAPE PLAN BE SUBMITTED, WITH BOULEVARD TREES, TO THE CITY <br />PLANNER FOR APPROVAL. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />At Egan's suggestion to set up workshops, Blomquist moved, <br />seconded by Janecek, to CONDUCT 1985 ANNUAL BUDGET WORKSHOPS <br />ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTMEBER 12. 1984, AT 6:30 P.M., TUESDAY, <br />SEPTEMBER 18. 1984, AT 7:00 P.M., AND TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, <br />1984. AT 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek. seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE THE COUNCIL <br />RULES AND MOVE ITEM VI-14 (Discussion of the siting for the <br />depot) TO BE NEXT ON THE AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried <br /> <br />Sinda stated that, in response to council's request, a lease <br />has been prepared. Anderson has talked with Ramsey County <br />about locating the depot in Long Lake Regional Park.
