Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to receive the draft of the Storm Water Management plan, and to refer it to the Park Board, Environ- mental Quality Commission and Planning Commission for comment and schedule a time with Barr Engineering for discussion at a later date. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried The Finance Director reviewed the staff report regarding the Ordinance establishing hours for the liquor stores. Councilmember Benke stated he was inclined to suggest that the City not open operations until noon on election day. Councilmember Schmidt stated that polls opened at 8:00 a.m. and the voters could cast their votes before the liquor operation opened. He further stated that what was good for private industry should be good for public. Mayor Harcus stated he felt that the City Liquor Operation hours should be consistent with other liquor operations. Consideration of Storm Water Mgmt. Plan-Report #83-27 Second Reading of an ORDINANCE ESTAB LISHING HOURS FOR THE LIQUOR STORES ORDINANCE#5ll Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to waive the reading and hold the second reading adopt and order publication of an ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CITY CODE WHICH CHANGES THE HOURS OF OPERATION FOR THE MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STOl::mS. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried Councilmember Janecek reminded staff that the Council did not wish the Liquor Operations to open until affer noon on election day.
