<br />City of New Brighton <br />April 12, 1983 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Engineer reviewed the staff report <br />and the proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist to <br />adopt a RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JOINT <br />BIDDING OF MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORK FOR <br />STREETS WITH THE CITIES OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS <br />AND FRIDLEY. <br /> <br />5 - Ayes, 0 - Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Finance Director reviewed the staff report <br />on the proposed sale of refunding bonds. <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Burgraff of Evensen-Dodge, Inc., <br />was present to answer questions and review <br />the procedure for the refunding bond sale. <br /> <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Joint Bidding of <br />Maintenance and <br />Repair Work for Strs. <br />with Columbia Hts. <br />& Fridley <br />RESOLUTION #83-40 <br />Report #83-94 <br /> <br />Sale of Refunding <br />Bonds RESOLUTIONS <br />#83-38 & 83- 41 <br />Report #83-95 <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Harcus to <br />adopt a RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REFUNDING <br />BONDS AND adopt a RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EVENSEN- <br />DODGE TO COMPLETE THE REFUNDING PROGRAM AND ESTABLISHING <br />THE TERMS FOR PAYMENT. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Director of Liquor reviewed the staff <br />report on request for repairs to the downtown <br />liquor operation heating, ventilating and <br />air conditioning system. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt stated that the Council <br />wants to make sure that any significant sums <br />put into the operation now, will be utilized <br />later if a new facility is planned. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Benke to approve <br />the plans and specifications for the proposed <br />HVAC system for the downtown bar and bottleshop <br />and authorize staff to obtain bids. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The administrative assistant reviewed the <br />proposed citizen complaint/request for <br />service procedure and form. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Blomquist indicated he felt <br />the present procedure was working, in his <br />opinion, and saw no need for this proposed <br />form or procedure. <br /> <br />Approval of Plans <br />& Specs for HVAC <br />Unit Downtown Liq. <br />Store Report#83-96 <br /> <br />Citizen Complaint/ <br />Request for Service <br />Procedure Report#83- <br />97 <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke stated it was not a question of <br />
