To approve all food and concession licenses per the <br />recommendation of the City Sanitarian. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />And in addition, direct staff to maintain a record <br />of City expenses in regard to the Stockyards Days <br />Celebration and report back to the City Council by <br />the first meeting in August. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development reviewed <br />the staff report and Planning Commission <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />There was no one present at the meeting who <br />spoke in regard to the application for special <br />use permit, SP-lll. <br /> <br />SP-lll Korean <br />United Methodist <br />Church - Report <br />83-137 <br />RESOLUTION #83-67 <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt stated that he could see <br />no problem with this proposal but that he was <br />concerned that the School District had apparently <br />failed to communicate the need for potential buyers <br />of the Resource Center Property to check with the <br />City in regard to future use of that site. <br />Councilmember Schmidt felt that it would be could for <br />staff to communicate with the School District in <br />regard to future activities of this nature. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to <br />waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION MAKING <br />FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />APPLICATION SP-lll. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Benke to direct <br />staff to send a letter to the Moundsview School <br />District indicating the Council's concern for <br />communication in regard to the reuse of school <br />district properties. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development reviewed <br />the staff report and Planning Commission <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. George Cellette, 537 Inca Lane, repre- <br />senting Tom Thumb, noted that they had three <br />operations in the City and that they have always <br />been a good neighbor in the City. Mr. Cellette <br />stated that there are other gasoline operations <br />within the area of this store that also sell <br />groceries and that he felt that if they could <br /> <br />SP-IIO-Tom Thumb <br />Superette, 615 <br />Old Hwy. 8, Report <br />#83-138 <br />
